Plane Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Windshield
An aircraft transporting the US defense secretary was required to make an emergency landing in the Britain on Wednesday following a fracture was discovered in the plane's windshield, per an official announcement which verified that Hegseth was safe.
"The plane touched down in accordance with standard procedures and all passengers, including Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a press officer stated in a public statement.
Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to the city of Brussels at the time.
This occurrence is not the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a high-ranking official has encountered mechanical issues.
