The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.
Prolific children's author and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.
A spokesman for the company stated: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was reached following an investigation into reports of conduct deemed unsuitable towards women.
The publisher has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "We do not comment on internal matters."
An Illustrious Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.
Some of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books in total, which features a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
