Kai Trump can count on numerous well-known supporters when she begins her professional golf debut this Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who is the granddaughter of Donald Trump, received a tournament invitation to play at the Annika tournament in Florida.
The former president, someone who loves golf, possesses several golf courses and frequently plays against his granddaughter.
"He's pretty good. I can't reveal details but we play tight competitions," she stated.
The golfer shared that Trump, who won't be present, counseled her: "Simply stay calm."
"My grandpa basically advised me to compete and enjoy myself," she explained.
"To me, he's simply a normal grandpa. He's not attending this weekend. He's focused on running the country, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
Being non-professional, Kai has competed in just three tournaments this year and holds the 461st position in AJGA listings.
Yet she's able to seek guidance from 15-time major champion, romantically involved with her mother.
"He represents the greatest golfer globally," Kai stated.
"And he's an even better human being. He advised me to go out there, have fun, adapting to the flow."
She'll challenge multiple top competitors in the sport at this tournament, including second-ranked the champion, England's Charley Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
The LPGA stated that Kai's presence brings golf to different demographics, specifically with younger fans.
The social media influencer maintains a massive following and has started a personal apparel and wellness company.
Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
